MICHAEL FLOHR 'MEL-ODY'
Any form of art in its purest state has the power to leave a lasting impression on the mind and soul. Be it a beautiful painting, a lovely sonnet or a moving musical score, artistic expression has the ability to universally communicate beyond the five senses. Contemporary artist Michael Flohr’s expressive paint style is just such a celebration of the senses. Moving beyond the visual, his work plays like an audible picture sifted through the eyes with emotional impact. “Mel-ody” is a work of art that beautifully and uniquely serves this intention. Once again, the artist’s wife and muse, Melissa (a.k.a. “Mel”), stands center stage. This image size of this piece measures 30" by 40" and is framed. The hand embellished limited edition is numbered 90 out of 195 and is being sold for $3080.00. This work is nearing sold out status. To inquire about the availability of this work, please call 321-722-6000. Click here for more information on "Mel-ody."

Steampunk
WHAT IS STEAMPUNK?
A movement which began in the 1980's has recently begun gaining more popularity in the underground. Also known as Neo-Victorian, the Steampunk movement is based off of the popular writings of Jules Verne, H.G. Wells, and Mary Shelley. These books are set in the era when steam power was the main source of energy, and they are romantic in subject matter, such as "The Time Machine." Over time, this movement has gained a following, and many artists are now creating Steampunk jewelry, clothing and art. It is characterized by a melding of technology and the Victorian style. Pieces of jewelry often include watch and machine parts, skeleton keys, and monocles. Steampunk is sometimes thought of as a post-apocalyptic style. As if mankind were creating fashion items from whatever would be left, finding a new, reborn beauty in the inner workings of technology. The best part about Steampunk is that it is a style that reuses materials and gives life back to forgotten pieces. Steampunk accessories are a great way to add elegance, fun, and history to any outfit!

SEA SHELL CRITTERS
Have you ever wondered what to do with all of those sea shells that the kids, or you, collect during your trips to the beach? How about making them into fun creatures with your little ones. All you need is some assorted sea shells, googly eyes, hot glue, glitter, and paint to create your animals. It is best to arrange your shells first before gluing them together. Give them some pizzazz by painting them or covering them with glitter/feathers/pompoms before putting them together. Then just add the eyes, let them dry and you are done! The kids can play with them for hours. You can even add a string and hang them from your windows, rear view mirrors or Christmas Trees. The possibilities are endless, so have fun!

**Small children should not be left alone with a hot glue gun.
