COUNTDOWN TO ASENCIO.....AND SALSA! October is finally here and since we got to talk to Henry Asencio ourselves at the Las Vegas Art Expo last weekend, we're more excited than ever about his visit! Why??? Because Henry will not only conduct a drawing demonstration from a live model during the evening, this nationally acclaimed figurative artist will be taking breaks to teach guests how to salsa! Those of you interested in Asencio's work and in meeting the "Young Master" should let us know as soon as possible so that we may include you on our invitation list. Invitations have already been mailed, and we only have a few left over! We look forward to giving Henry Asencio a warm welcome at his solo show where wine and light refreshments will be served. NEW ARRIVALS
We would like to introduce the artworks of Ed and Kate Coleman. The artists from North Carolina work together to create a series of one of a kind ceramics which are each hand painted. Inspired by nature's plants, landscapes and wildlife, the Coleman's are drawn to both the asymmetry and balance found in the world. The designs are purposefully simple - made for everyday use. The Clique vases can be used for elegant single flowers, individual leaves or simply decoration. The Clique tiles look best in groupings and hang easily on the wall. |

6 WEEKS of PRECIOUS METAL CLAY - The basics and beyond! Whether you've already had an introductory PMC class, or a more advanced one, this 6-week session makes the perfect holiday gift for you or anyone! We've had so many requests for different levels of PMC training that Linda Kline has offered to dedicate Thursdays to us starting January 31st through March 6th so she can combine all levels and a variety of projects in one course! Precious Metal Clay (PMC) has revolutionized jewelry making. A user-friendly medium, PMC looks, acts and feels like clay but is pulverized granules of pure silver (.999). New students will learn basic techniques to produce exquisite jewelry designs of pure, fine silver. Returning students are invited to use this class as an open studio for independent study while learning new and advanced techniques. The instructor will collect a materials fee of $95 at the first class session, which includes a basic tool kit and enough silver to complete at least three jewelry designs. Additional silver will be available for sale during the class. A different technique/jewelry project will be covered each week. Register by January 20th for either Thursday afternoons, 2-5 p.m. OR Thursday evenings, 6-9 p.m. Cost is $150.00 per person for the entire 6 weeks, which includes a $20.00 non-refundable registration fee. |

PAUL CEZANNE: When I judge art, I take my painting and put it next to a God made object like a tree or a flower. If it clashes, it is not art. |
PABLO PICASSO: It took me four years to paint like Raphael, but a lifetime to paint like a child. |
