"It seems that my logical left brain has constantly battled for control with my creative right brain and instead of spending my life trying to decide which of the two paths was best for me, I finally decided to quit listening to everyone who said that I needed to focus in one direction." St.Amant formulated a 'whole-brain' concept to produce a turnkey business that will eventually allow her to return to painting full time. "This is the only way I can be satisfied and win the internal battle."
That battle began when after obtaining a Bachelors degree in Fine Art, some unfortunate experiences dictated an abrupt halt in the uphill pursuit of a professional art career in favor of the then - flourishing computer industry. St.Amant found that she was also very successful in this field and went on to obtain a Masters degree in Computer Resource and Information Management. Her technical career took her around the world, but Angela never lost her passion for fine art and made it a point to visit galleries and talk to the gallery owners wherever her technical job took her. Meanwhile, she continued to gain valuable corporate experience.
Her 40th birthday was the turning point when after seeing a couple close friends fall extremely ill, she realized a good portion of her life was over and she hadn't yet accomplished what she really wanted to do - own a business like all her other family members (parents Dano & Rita LoPresti own the Christmas Cottage, brother Okie owns GTC Exotic Palm Nursery & Brother Dan owns Legacy Financial Planning) and do something with her long-abandoned artistic talent that could somehow have a greater meaning and benefit others. The LoPressionism Gallery of Fine Art was born.
St.Amant has once again made her passion and desire coexist in a single entity. The New York style LoPressionism Gallery of Fine art promotes a refreshing collection of art from national, international and local artists who meet the gallery criteria.
She has brought a new attitude toward fine art to Brevard County and supports philanthropic causes by hosting fund-raiser gallery receptions that coincide with chosen artists' subject matter. "I've never felt so internally satisfied, and that feeling is only intensified when I see that my own selfish desires are helping others too. I am finally doing what I have always wanted to do which makes it fun & addictive!" |
