LMS Fragrances is able to price its d'essense products at an average of 80% lower prices for three reasons.

First, since d'essense is able to leverage the advertising and marketing expenses spent by the large designer houses, often in the tens of millions of dollars just in the initial launch of a perfume (even before a single ounce is sold), d'essense does not need to build advertising costs into the product price.

Second, with a Direct Selling distribution system, d'essense does not have to pay the "middle men" and the cost of expensive retail outlets.

Finally and probably most pertinent, d'essense sells only real perfume, therefore, they do not need to protect the prices of lesser products like Eau-de-Toilettes and colognes. The designers know they will sell very little perfume; in fact, the majority of fragrances are never even sold in the form of perfume. Instead, the demand is created by advertising the beautiful presentation of real perfumes, maintaining inflated prices for real perfume and then enabling the substituion of the lesser products. So for these reasons, d'essense enables women to enjoy real perfume for prices comparable to lesser products.
