World renowned animal portrait artist, Ron Burns begins each painting with the eyes. "Their eyes hold nothing back, whether it's love or fear, heartbreak or admiration. Every portrait begins with the eyes, they have to because from there all the life and personality radiates outward," he says. Ron admires pets for the love that they give and believes it is time to give back. As a philanthropist for numerous non-profit animal foundations, Ron is also the first and only artist-in-residence for The Humane Society of the United States.
